Subject:  ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE 431.03
STUDENT RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  DISCIPLINE-APPEALS PROCEDURE

Any disciplinary action may be appealed as provided below:

  1. Any disciplinary action taken by the Vice-President for Student Services or designee may be appealed to the Student Affairs Committee, with the exception of disciplinary warning, which may not be appealed.
  2. Action taken by the Student Affairs Committee may be appealed to the College President.
  3. All appeals by a student must be made in writing and received by the Vice-President for Student Services or the Student Affairs Committee. Failure to file a written appeal within the specified time period will result in the decision becoming final with no further right of appeal.

All appeals must clearly state errors in fact or matters in extenuation or mitigation which justifies the appeal.

The decision of the Student Affairs Committee will not be set aside or modified unless the College President finds the application of rules to be arbitrary and capricious.
