BASIC CELL BIOLOGY

3 credits
Introduction to cell structure and function, including basic biochemical concepts. Provides a foundation for courses in anatomy and physiology (BIOL 201L, 202L) and microbiology (BIOL 240L). Meets distribution credit in Natural Sciences.

BIOL 110L
GENERAL ECOLOGY

5 credits
Survey of the interrelations between organisms and their environments. Analyzes living and nonliving components of ecosystems, mostly terrestrial, applying principles in the field. Three hours lecture, four hours laboratory per week; group projects. Recommended: strong high school biology or one college biology course.Meets distribution credit in Natural Sciences.

BIOL 150L
INTRODUCTION TO MARINE BIOLOGY
