Business Administration
The Business Administration program is designed to allow students to pursue three different career options: Accounting, Management, and Marketing. Classroom instruction and practical experiences are combined into a course of study that provides students with broad exposure to the principles and philosophies of business and management. A certificate in Business Administration is also available for students who seek a less comprehensive business background.
Completion of the two-year program described on this guide leads to an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Administration Accounting, Management, or Marketing.
Management and Marketing Option Career Opportunities
Graduates with business management and/or marketing skills will find employment opportunities in a variety of business settings. Virtually every industry employs business managers and marketing specialists; however, the largest employers of managers and marketers are the retail, wholesale, and service industries. The greatest expansion in the job market over the next ten years is expected to occur in the small business sector, including employment prospects for business managers and marketing specialists. Opportunities for advancement are enhanced by a student’s motivation and desire to succeed.
The demand for persons trained in this field should remain strong over the next several years.
Accounting Option Career Opportunities
Graduates can be employed by government and private industry. The job outlook for accounting-related occupations is very good. Many of the new accounting positions will be created in small, rapidly growing businesses. The field also provides many opportunities for temporary employment, part-time work, or providing accounting services out of your home. The demand for persons trained in this field should remain strong over the next several years.
