Woodworking/ Homebuilding
The Carpentry program provides students with sufficient skills in carpentry to move directly into entry-level positions in an associated field. Instruction consists of classroom presentations and hands-on training. Completion of this one-year program leads to a certificate in Woodworking/Homebuilding—Carpentry.

The Carpentry certificate program operates in cooperation with Port Angeles High School and the North Olympic Peninsula Skills Consortium where the carpentry classes are offered. Coursework for the Carpentry certificate includes the approved pre-apprenticeship training curriculum and other certified training components.

This program contains courses that are articulated through the Tech Prep program with one or more area high schools.

Career Opportunities
Graduates have found entry-level positions in residential and small commercial carpentry businesses and other related companies. The demand for carpenters should remain strong over the next decade.
