This project promoted new library services to students, faculty and staff at WNMU Education Centers in Deming-Mimbres, Truth or Consequences, and Gallup, focusing on access to electronic resources and Interlibrary Loan services available at a distance through GilaCat.

The Silver City Salsa Project shared the opus of salsa dura ("hard salsa", also called salsa clásica, salsa brava, or salsa agresiva), a rich musical heritage created by musicians from Colombia, Panama, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, New York, and Cuba between 1960 and 2000.
