POST 9/11 GiBILL: (CHAPTER 33)
There are many exciting benefits to this new GiBill, however, please consider it carefully before applying for this bill. It is IRREVOCABLE, and if you later decide it wasn’t the correct benefit package for you, you will not be able to change. Be sure to click on “What Benefit is Best for Me?” on the website: www.gibill.va.gov before making your decision.
The benefits for this bill are dependent upon the number of months of active duty since 9/10/2001. The VA pays benefits on a percentage basis for:
- · Tuition and fees - paid directly to the college.
- · Housing allowance - paid directly to the student. (Must be enrolled over ½ time)
- · Books and supplies stipend - paid directly to the student.
