Rick Ross, who came to Peninsula College in 1994, was named director of Athletics and Student Programs in 2001. Ross is a long-time Port Angeles resident who graduated from Peninsula in 1979 and went on to get a Bachelor's Degree at Western Washington University (1981) and a Masters Degree from Leslie University (2001).
Soccer:
Andrew Chapman

Coach Chapman has more than eight years of coaching experience at the youth and high school levels, and as staff for the Vogelsinger Soccer Academy. In addition, he spent two years as an assistant coach under George Hageage at the Division I Eastern Washington University. Since coming to Port Angeles, Chapman had received his National B license from the United State Soccer Federation, putting him among a select few of coaches in America. He has also set up youth clinics, coaching clinics, and a very successful indoor league at the college. Chapman has a Master’s of Science in Physical Education with emphasis in Pedagogy/Coaching and Sports Management/Administration from Eastern Washington University (2003). Besides Coach Chapman’s coaching duties he is also a physical education instructor for Peninsula College.
Men's Basketball:
Peter Stewart

The 2003-04 NWAACC North Division Coach of the Year has 13 years of collegiate and professional coaching experience. Stewart also has vast international experience running basketball camps and clinics, including the Bobby Knight Hoop Camp. Stewart played professionally in the Western Australia State Basketball League, two years for Athletes in Action and was team captain of his University of North Dakota, NCAA Division II team. His coaching resume includes head coaching experience at the professional level in Australia, Malaysia and Canada, as well as the high school level in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He also served in an assistant at Adams State College, Minot State University and North Dakota State University. Stewart has a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology, Sport and Leisure Science through Adams State College and a BA in Business Administration from the University of North Dakota.
Women's Basketball:
Kathy Langston

Assistant coach Kathy Langston is currently spearheading recruiting efforts as the Pirates go to work to bolster the outstanding freshman class that will return next fall in quest of a championship. Coach Langston has more than 30 years of combined high school and college coaching experience.
Softball:
Heather Sankey

Coach Sankey served as the assistant coach for the St. Martins University softball team and as manager of Eagle Fitness in Kent prior to coming to Peninsula. She graduated with a BA in Psychology/Biology from St. Martins, was captain of both the women’s softball team and women’s golf team and was named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Softball Newcomer of the Year and was a two-time GNAC Academic All-Conference player following her transfer from Green River Community College. At Green River, she was a two-year captain for the Gators, was all-conference and led the Gators to the playoffs her freshmen and sophomore years. She was then inducted into the Green River Hall of Fame. She played her high school ball at Tyee. In addition to her playing and coaching experience, coach Sankey has worked as a hitting instructor and a speed and agility instructor for Anderton Sports in Redmond.
