How Do I Get Started?

  • Take the placement test.  Call Peninsula College:  Main Campus 360-417-6340, Port Townsend 360-385-4605, or Forks 360-374-3223 to make an appointment.

  • Once you have qualified for Running Start, complete a Peninsula College application.

  • Meet with your high school counselor to complete a Planning Form and review classes needed to meet graduation requirements.  Request a copy of your official high school transcript.  Homeschooled students should go to the school district office to complete the appropriate paperwork.

  • Submit all forms to Peninsula College and schedule an appointment with a Running Start advisor to select your classes and register.

  • Read the Peninsula College catalog to become familiar with policies and procedures.  All students at PC are subject to the academic and disciplinary policies of the college.

  • Buy books and any other supplies before the first day of class to avoid lines in the bookstore.

  • Attend ORIENTATION for Running Start students.  This orientation provides the necessary foundation for success at Peninsula.  It is a chance to learn about the college culture, faculty expectations, and campus resources.

  • Go to class!
