Option 1: Career Development Online
If you want to discover which careers may be right for you or need some direction in selecting a college program of study, please go the WOIS (Washington Occupational Information System) web site shown below. If you do not have a computer at home, resources are available in the Peninsula College or public libraries.
- Go to www.wois.org, see your counselor or teacher for the Site Key.
- On the left side of the page, in the “Use WOIS” box, click on “portfolio”
- Create a portfolio and then click on “Assessments”
- Complete all of the following assessments:
- Career Interest Areas
- Interest Profiler
- Skills Assessment
- Work Importance Locator
- At the completion of each assessment, save your results to your Portfolio.
- Call 360-417-7982 to schedule an appointment to discuss your results with Dr. Vicki DeLorey. Appointments are scheduled between 9:00AM and noon on Fridays.

Option 2: Resume Support Online
If you are looking for help with your resume, please go to one of these sites:

Resume tips, interview tips, guides to cover letters, samples and lists of power words

Resume workshops, grammar and mechanics, and design options
After you write or revise your resume, you can call 360-417-7982 to schedule an appointment to discuss your resume draft with Dr. Vicki DeLorey. Appointments are scheduled between 9:00AM and noon on Fridays.
Option 3: Short Courses at Peninsula College
Peninsula College offers career development courses each term where you can earn college credits as you develop your career skills. Course numbers are HUMDV 112, Occupational Exploration; HUMDV 114, Resume Writing; and HUMDV 115, Interview Skills. These classes can be taken for one or two credits. See the quarterly schedule for more information.
