Not Meeting Pace of Progression/Out of Time

In accordance with Peninsula's Pace of Progression policy, you are not eligible for financial aid because:

  • You have not completed enough credits towards your program of study compared to the number of credits you have attempted.
  • You may have taken classes that were not required for your program of study; if you switched programs, we are required to count all credits attempted.
  • You do not have enough remaining time within your program of study's time limit to complete the number of credits required for your program, or you have exceeded the time limit for your program of study.

If you were not able to finish credits because of unusual or extraordinary circumstances beyond your control, you may be eligible for a Time Limit Appeal. Time Limit Appeals are one-time exceptions only. We cannot approve time limit appeals simply because you need more time to finish your degree. Click here to access the Time Limit Appeal form. (2 pages)

In order to be considered for financial aid, you must submit BOTH a time limit appeal and a signed academic plan to the Financial Aid Office. Your academic plan must be approved by an advisor and must demonstrate how you will complete your program of study. If your time limit appeal is approved, the Financial Aid Office will check your registration each quarter. If you do not register for classes as shown on the academic plan you submitted, we must cancel your aid.
