Worker Retraining
If you are enrolling in a Professional Technical (vocational) program and are (or have been) a dislocated worker, a displaced homemaker, formerly self-employed or a Vulnerable Worker in the last 24 months, you may be eligible for Worker Retraining Financial Aid. Possible forms of aid include tuition and books, child care, and transportation.
How to apply:
- Fill out the Worker Retraining Application in the Financial Aid Office. Submit it to the Financial Aid Office.
- Check with the Financial Aid Program Coordinator regarding eligibility.
- Apply for finanical aid by filing a FAFSA.
- Register for classes.
Typically Worker Retraining funding will only be provided for one quarter, exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office.
Training Completion Aid
If you are enrolled in a Professional Technical program, you may be eligible for Training Completion Aid if you have been receiving unemployment benefits and the funds are exhausted before you complete the program.
Eligibility is determined through the Financial Aid Office. Awards may vary, based on your level of enrollment and the availability of funds.
