Emphasis on professional verbal and written communications as applied to the medical office. Legal and medical issues also addressed. Learn about patient care issues, including privacy, confidentiality, medical records, patients' rights, and advance directives.

MED 151 MEDICAL BILLING II

Advanced instruction in medical billing practices. Includes ICD-9 and CPT coding, electronic submission, computerized billing techniques, and hospital billing; also federal, state, and area policies. Helps to minimize insurance rejection.
