Continues from SPANISH I the four skills of mastering a second language - listening, reading, writing, speaking. Introduction to culture of the Spanish-speaking countries. Learner-centered instruction. Prerequisite: SPAN& 121, one year of high school Spanish, the equivalent, or permission of instructor. (Formerly SPAN 102). (E)

Home-based video course. Course material is available for the entire quarter by renting video tapes ($35) or purchasing DVDs ($45). Mandatory orientation 4/4, medterm exam 5/16, final exam 6/13, optional review/discussion sessions 5/9 and 6/6. All sessions are held in room at time designated. Additional Video Support fee = $22.00.
